So attractive

Semi-impromptu photoshoots are the best. The kind that you had just enough time to throw together a cute outfit for, but didn’t have the whole week to antagonize over the most appropriate height of heels or the best zoom lens to bring. That, and catching the final moments of the golden hour of immaculate lighting just before sunset. Just perfect.

2013 New Year’s Resolutions

I’ve never really believed in making new year’s resolutions, but I do believe that writing things down brings them that much closer to reality, so here’s to giving that a try!

  1. Micromanage my finances. Actually save for med school apps and control those impulse buys (I am so weak).

  2. Become a morning person. This involves going to bed before midnight and waking up before 10am every day.

  3. Read a new book every month. Though reading binges are still allowed.

Goodbye 2012

2012 was a great year. I’ve loved this year of being 22 (being happy, free, confused, and lonely at the same time) and have so much to be thankful for. So before ushering in 2013, here is my 2012 year in review - five things I am thankful for in no particular order:

  1. Graduating. My four years at UCLA were the best years of my life, and I’m so thankful for all of the people (and other pieces of the universe) that fell together to help make it happen for me.

  2. Family. Especially one that welcomed me back home after graduation. My parents have always been the most supportive people in my life, and this past year (and any other given year, actually) would not have been possible without their constant love and guidance.

  3. My relationship. It was a trying year indeed, but this year would not have been the same without my boyfriend in my life. Through this year of trials and triumphs, laughs and tears, I love you’s and I can’t do this anymore’s, we’ve come out stronger and closer. I’m thankful for everything he is, and everything he does to keep me smiling.

  4. Friends, old and new. Friends that have stood by me for years, and friends that I’ve gotten closer to recently. I’m especially grateful for the friends who pulled me through my graduation weeks and the ones who turned what would have been my most depressing summer into one of the most adventurous, filled with more wine and movie nights than I can remember.

  5. Health. I’ve always thought that if you’re happy and healthy, you have more to be grateful for than a lot of people on this planet. And I’m lucky to have both.
